On the 17th of November 2024, the Global Humanitarian Aid Foundation organized a heartfelt community outreach event in Seeduwa, Kotugoda village, Sri Lanka. The event aimed to support some of the most vulnerable members of society—completely blind and disabled families facing economic hardship. Our dedicated volunteers visited these families in their homes to personally deliver essential grocery parcels and other items, ensuring they received the support they needed.
The grocery parcels, carefully prepared with love and care, included vital food items such as rice, dhal, sugar, milk powder, tea, soya meat, noodles, onions, and potatoes, along with biscuits and toys to bring a sense of joy to children. The foundation’s mission to assist these families went beyond just providing food—our goal was to create a tangible impact on their lives by offering both practical support and emotional warmth.
The event was made possible through the tireless efforts of our volunteers, who not only ensured the safe and efficient distribution of these essential items but also went the extra mile to offer a helping hand and connect with the families in a meaningful way. This initiative is just one example of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to improving the lives of those in need, especially the most marginalized members of society.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this noble cause, and we look forward to continuing our work to uplift and support more communities across Sri Lanka.
