On July 20, 2024, the Global Humanitarian Aid Foundation organized a heartwarming event in the remote Karathota Village, located in the Matara District, Gatamanna area. A generous donation of 500 kg of rice was distributed to the poor families in the area, ensuring that they had enough provisions to sustain themselves for a week.

The residents of Karathota Village, many of whom live in isolated parts of the region, traveled from distant villages with their families, arriving on a tractor due to the long journey.
