The Youth Arts Development Program took place as a vibrant initiative aimed at nurturing budding artists from the villages of Heenatiyana, Paragahamulla, Madawala, Mahagama, Gurugama, Dhammalokagama, and Udawala. This annual event celebrated the talents of young singers and promoted the development of social capital that positively impacted physical and psychological well-being at individual, relational, and community levels.
Hosted by the Global Humanitarian Aid Foundation (GHAF), this year’s program welcomed approximately 300 villagers who enjoyed an evening filled with music, creativity, and community spirit. Our goal was to foster new talent among aspiring singers across various regions of Sri Lanka while enhancing social connectedness and a sense of belonging.
Participants experienced a supportive environment that not only showcased their talents but also provided physical and emotional benefits, reducing personal stress and encouraging meaningful connections among peers.
We provided refreshments for all attendees to ensure a welcoming and enjoyable experience. This event empowered the next generation of artists and enriched our community through the arts!
