Financial Aid for Individuals
Global Humanitarian Aid Foundation (GHAF) offers financial aid for individuals who do not have the money to buy food, water, clothing, and other life essentials or pay for shelter, healthcare, and education. We provide means-tested financial assistance for individuals that will arrive as shortfall grants on a monthly arrangement and contributions for one-time expenses. The aim for providing financial aid for individuals is to help them overcome situations of disadvantage that have caused them to be unable to support themselves. Whether their disadvantage is caused by poverty, unemployment, bankruptcy, domestic violence, neglect, abandonment, disability, illness, persecution, discrimination, harassment, natural disaster, or accident, GHAF can help individuals get back on their feet.

Regardless of race, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status, all individuals have the fundamental rights to life, food, shelter, health, education, and freedom. These rights are the principal reasons why GHAF provides financial aid for individuals. Through our financial assistance program for individuals, people will have the opportunity to live the life they choose; have food, water, clothing, and shelter; pay for healthcare, medications, and education; and gain access to services that can help make their lives easier. We understand that money will not solve all of people’s problems. Who Can Apply for Financial Aid?
The GHAF financial assistance program for individuals is provided for people who are –
- Neglected, deprived, or abandoned by their husbands, wives, parents, families, or carers
- Living with a partner or family member with a disability or illness who cannot help in providing support for daily needs
- Experiencing poverty due to unemployment, bankruptcy, accident, or other unfortunate circumstances
- Suffering from domestic violence and deprived of financial means
- Living out of their home because of natural disasters, accidents, fires, and other unique circumstances
- Separated from their partners, parents, families, and carers without the means for self-support
- Newly arrived refugees with language barriers and experiencing discrimination and harassment
- Dealing with a disability or suffering from an illness without carers
- Needing medical assistance or allied health services without the finances
- Living independently and unable to support themselves financially to buy daily essentials

How Can Individuals Apply for Financial Aid?
Individuals can apply for financial aid from GHAF via our shortfall grants on a monthly arrangement and contributions for one-time expenses after an extensive screening process. Our highly trained and experienced support staff will do the screening by gathering and scrutinising all pertinent information. Coordination may also be done with local councils, law enforcement, government departments, and other organisations to collect all the required information. Our fully qualified support staff will also conduct screening interviews. To ensure that we respect, uphold, and protect the rights of all individuals concerned, our screening process will be done discreetly and carefully.
As soon as the screening process is completed and the individual qualifies, our team will reach out directly. The individual will meet with us to deliberate the value and organise the financial aid release arrangements. For monthly shortfall grants, the first amount will be provided at the soonest possible time while subsequent ones will be scheduled for release at designated times of the month. The initial meeting will also decide the duration of the monthly shortfall grants. Exceptional situations that may necessitate the continuation, postponement, or cancellation of the financial aid will be discussed with the individual. Contributions for one-time expenses will be provided at the earliest convenience for all parties concerned.
