Financial Aid Services for Children

Global Humanitarian Aid Foundation (GHAF) provides financial aid services for children who are unable to find the means to secure food, water, clothing, medications, and other life essentials. Our means-tested financial assistance for children will come in the form of monthly shortfall grants and donations for one-off expenses. The ultimate goal for providing financial aid for children is to help provide them with everything they need to live a happier, fuller, healthier, and more meaningful life. Whether they need to buy something to eat or drink, purchase clothes to wear, pay for shelter, healthcare, or education, or use money for things and situations that can make their lives better, we are here to help.

We here at GHAF respect, uphold, and protect the rights of children. Fundamentals such as the rights to life, food, shelter, healthcare, education, and freedom are the reasons why the GHAF financial assistance for children exists. We also strongly believe that that children should be afforded special rights because they are vulnerable and depend on others to meet their needs. Therefore, we recognise, advocate, and defend a child’s right to be protected from exploitation and abuse, the right to be cared for and have a home, and the right to have a say in decisions which affect them. By providing financial aid for children, we can uphold and protect their rights, help them live better lives today, and secure their tomorrow.

How Can Children Get Financial Aid?

Children will be able to get financial aid from GHAF through monthly shortfall grants and donations for one-off expenses after a thorough screening process. The screening will be done by our highly trained and experienced support staff who will collect and analyse all relevant information. GHAF may coordinate with local councils, law enforcement, government departments, and other organisations to gather all the necessary information. Screening interviews will also be conducted by our fully qualified child support staff. The screening process will be done discreetly and carefully to ensure that we respect, uphold, and protect the rights of the children and all individuals concerned.

Once the screening process is done and the children qualify, we will get in touch with them directly or through their assigned carers. They will meet with our team to discuss the amount and arrange the logistics of the financial assistance. With monthly shortfall grants, initial aid will be given as soon as possible, and succeeding ones will be scheduled for release on specific dates. The duration of monthly shortfall grants will be decided upon during the initial meeting. Unique circumstances that may warrant the extension, postponement, or cancellation of the financial aid will be discussed. Donations for one-off expenses will be provided at the earliest convenience for all parties concerned.
