Refugee Financial Aid

Refugee Financial Aid

Global Humanitarian Aid Foundation (GHAF) offers refugee financial aid in Australia who do not have access to banks and other mainstream financial services. With no access to banking or financial means, they do not have the cash to purchase food, water, clothing, and other life essentials or pay for living accommodations, healthcare, education, and government services. GHAF offers means-tested financial assistance for refugees that will come as monthly grants and donations for one-off expenses. Our goal for providing financial aid for refugees is to assist them in becoming self-reliant and economically independent here in Australia. Whether these displaced individuals have been forced to flee their country due to persecution, war, or violence, GHAF can help refugees build a stable life for themselves and their families in their newfound home.

GHAF respects, upholds, and protects the rights of refugees. Asylum seekers have the fundamental rights to life, food, shelter, health, education, protection, and freedom. These inalienable rights should be provided regardless of race, nationality, ethnicity, political opinion, language, religion, sexual orientation, or any other status. By providing financial aid for refugees, displaced individuals and their families will have the means to live a better life in Australia. Asylum-seekers will be able to pay for food, water, clothing, shelter, healthcare, education, and other life essentials as well as gain access to financial and government services. With the financial assistance that we provide here at GHAF, asylum-seekers and displaced individuals along with their families can start living a happier, safer, fuller, and more meaningful life in Australia.

How Can Refugees Get Financial Aid?

After an extensive screening process, refugees can get financial aid from GHAF through our monthly grants and donations for one-off expenses. GHAF has highly trained and experienced support staff who will do the screening by collecting and analysing all relevant information. We may also coordinate with pertinent government agencies and departments, local councils, law enforcement, and other organisations to gather all the necessary data. Screening interviews will also be conducted by our fully qualified support staff. Our screening process will be done discreetly and carefully to ensure that we respect, uphold, and protect the rights of all individuals concerned.

When the screening process is done and individuals qualify, we will reach out directly. Our team will meet with the individuals to discuss the amount requested and arrange the logistics of the financial aid. With monthly grants, initial assistance will be provided at the soonest possible time and subsequent ones will be scheduled for release at designated times of the month. The first discussion after the screening process will also determine the duration of the monthly grants. Unique circumstances that may require the continuation, postponement, or cancellation of financial aid will be discussed. Donations for one-off expenses will be provided at the earliest convenience for all parties concerned.
